VELORÈ: Eau de Parfum, Eau de Toilette and Parfum — Understanding the Difference Before You Choose

When exploring luxury fragrances, terms such as Eau de Parfum, Eau de Toilette and Parfum frequently appear on perfume bottles. Although these descriptions may seem technical, understanding them can make selecting your next fragrance considerably easier. VELORÈ believes that appreciating the different concentrations of perfume helps fragrance enthusiasts make more informed decisions based on their preferences, lifestyle and expectations.

Eau de Toilette generally contains a lower concentration of aromatic materials than Eau de Parfum, often creating a lighter fragrance experience. Eau de Parfum typically offers a richer concentration, while Parfum, sometimes called Extrait de Parfum, is generally among the most concentrated fragrance formats. However, concentration alone does not determine how long a perfume lasts or how strongly it projects. Ingredient composition, formulation and individual skin characteristics also influence its performance.
